20 Step iPhone Baseband Downgrade 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 BB!

OK Este un post “piloto”, dependiendo como le vaya a la gente en esto decidiré en realizar un tutorial completo y en disponible en ambos idiomas. Siendo que aún no confío mucho pues no tengo un iPhone para probarlo.

OK, so after one hour surfing over the web I
found all the files need to do the baseband (we’ll now called BB)
downgrade (we’ll now called BB downgrade) on a 1.1.1 modem.

I did my own dummie guide for making the process as easy as I could…

CHECKLIST:
FIRST OF ALL, YOU NEED SOME STUFF.

On your Windows PC, download the pack to your desktop:

bbdowngrade111to102_pack.rar

you can also download a ZIP file

>> pscp.exe
>> putty.exe
>> seckpack40113.bin
>> ieraser
>> bbupdater
>> ICE03.14.08_G.eep
>> ICE03.14.08_G.fls

> On your Apple iPhone, enter Installer.app and download:

- BSD subsystem
- Mobile Terminal
- Erica’s Unlock.app (I’ve Included on the pack)

WINDOWS PROGRAMS:
pscp.exe
putty.exe

AND

iPHONE BINARIES:

seckpack40113.bin
ieraser
bbupdater
ICE03.14.08_G.eep
ICE03.14.08_G.fls

YOU DON’T HAVE TO MAKE ANY MORE FOLDERS (is just info for you),
JUST LEAVE IT THE WAY I POINTED OUT.

This process was written/quoted from the ModmyiPhone by REVAN,
so as said in the Guide for Windows (http://www.modmyiphone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9618), just follow step by step (20 total):1. Make a folder on your C: hard drive and call it “unlock” (without the quotes obvious).2. Pick up your iPhone and RUN the aplication Terminal.

3. In Terminal, type in as following (respect spaces ok?):

cd /
mkdir /unlock

4. Leave it there.
5. Go to your Windows computer, and clic Start>Run>cmd.exe
6. Once open, type in as following (respect spaces ok?):

c:
cd c:\unlock
pscp ieraser your.ipod.ip.address:/unlock/.
pscp bbupdater your.ipod.ip.address:/unlock/.
pscp ICE03.14.08_G.eep your.ipod.ip.address:/unlock/.
pscp ICE03.14.08_G.fls your.ipod.ip.address:/unlock/.
pscp secpack40113.bin your.ipod.ip.address:/unlock/.

7. Then type

putty root@your.ipod.ip.address

8. Now putty will ask if you want to connect to the iPhone,
answer “Y”.

9. Type the password (if the first one doesn’t works,try the second one):

First Passwarod: dottie
Second Password: alpine

10. Now you are on your Iphone terminal.

11. Type as follow but first PLEASE, PLEASE PAY GOOD ATTENTION
ON WHAT YOU ARE TYPING!!!:

cd /unlock
chmod +x ieraser
chmod +x bbupdater
launchctl remove com.apple.CommCenter
./bbupdater -v

12. At this point you’ve achived to:

- Make the binaries executables.
- Stoped the com.apple.CommCenter
- You’ve executed bbupdater to view what version is your
iphone baseband.

13. Now its time to rename the secpack, don´t forget to rename ieraser
by doing this actual step, only accepts secpack as the filename,

IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU’RE ABOUT TO ERASE THE BASEBAND, always carefully,
PAY GOOD ATTENTION ON WHAT YOU ARE TYPING.

so…Still on your iPhone’s Terminal type as follow:

mv secpack40113.bin secpack
./ieraser

14. Still on your iPhone’s Terminal type this:

./bbupdater -v

(This command will run the bbupdater command again for you to see if
your baseband is erased).

15. Still on your iPhone’s Terminal we are going to reflash the the baseband,
so type carefully:

./bbupdater -e ICE03.14.08_G.eep -f ICE03.14.08_G.fls

16. By doing as before, at this point you might have:

- Flashed the 3.14.08 baseband firmware back to the iPhone.
- bbupdater will run for about 3 minutes, so be patient wait.

17. Lets check if it´s reprogrammed the 3.14.08 baseband by
typing (still on terminal):

./bbupdater -v

18. The CORRECT ANSWER WILL BE:

./bbupdater -v
Resetting target…
pinging the baseband…
issuing +xgendata…
firmware: DEV_ICE_MODEM_03.14.08_G
eep version: EEP_VERSION:207
eep revision: EEP_REVISION:7
bootloader: BOOTLOADER_VERSION:3.9_M3S2

19. Congratulations!!! yipei! If you’re a beginner this is a very good glory for you, still
some steps, be patient.

20. Last but not least.
Just:

- Run Erica’s Unlock.app on your iPhone and wait.
- PLEASE DO NOT USE anySIM or iUnlock.
